This is the kind of movie that I like, uplifting and happy and bringing good message. Rio 1 was very awesome in my opinion, but Rio 2 is even more awesome. The story is very nice and a really good sequel to the first one.

Very nice and easy listening soundtracks.... I think I am gonna get the soundtracks soon. :)

There is also addition of Bruno Mars who sang so beautifully in the movies..... Like the first one, Jesse Eisenberg and Anne Hathaway did a good job as the voices of Blu and Jewel, the two main characters of Rio 1 and 2.

Movie Review: Godzilla (2014)

For me, this movie is just OK, somewhat disappointing. Well, to start, I don't really like this kind of movie where monsters are the main characters. In this movie, I got lost a lot of times about which monster is good and which are bad.

The storyline is so boring and the screenplay doesn't really work so much, there are some choppy parts within the movie, like a lot.

The movie tells a story from the Evil Queen's point of view. It's absolutely something different than the stories that we hear all this time. There is actually a reason why the Evil Queen is evil. However, she still has a good heart according to this movie.

The screenplay is just OK. There are some choppy parts within the movie. However, this issue is covered by the great acting performance of Angelina Jolie.

The one and only thing that stayed with me when I left the theatre room after watching this movie was that Angelina Jolie's acting was absolutely fantastic and mind blowing here. She is so fierce in this movie. However, I didn't quite like Elle Fanning's acting here since I thought she is quite awkward.

For me this is just another chick flick that you can watch whenever you have free time and can watch the movie as the background movie while you are working on your laptop. 

Like usual, Charlize Theron is charming in this movie because this is just another movie from her like her other movies nowadays.... She is very experienced in acting in this kind of movies. I also like Leslie Mann's performance in this movie.... She is a very good actor.

Well, there is not much to say about this movie other than pretty entertaining and light movie to watch on a DVD or through streaming online.

Movie Review: Transformers: Age of Extinction (2014)

Well while the movie has really awesome and mind blowing visual effects, like many people I talked to, I really think that the movie is just too long. I kept asking myself whether some scenes were the ending, but I was wrong so many times. What I thought would be the ending was actually another start of a new chapter within the movie. Yeah, it is that long.

However, I still think it's a quite good movie with a great storyline. People who like robots wold still like this movie in my opinion.

Movie Review: 22 Jump Street (2014)

This is a much better and funnier movie than the first installment. The jokes cracked us all up from the beginning until the end. I also think that the chemistry between the two main characters played by Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum is awesome. The two actors really delivered an outstanding performance and succeeded in delivering all the good jokes written by the writers. So, applause for the writers too for writing such jokes that make our stomaches hurt from laughing out loud in the movie theatre....

If you loved the first installment, I am pretty sure you would love the second one more....

Movie Review: The Raid 2: Berandal (2014)

This movie could have been the only one movie so far that I have longed for it to come out since I watched the first installment of the movie. Being Indonesian movie, acted, directed, and produced here in Indonesia, it could be the most successful Indonesian movie that successfully represents Indonesia in the world movie scenes.

After garnering such positive reviews and financial successes from the first movie, the second one is produced in a much better quality, much more budget, many more great actors, much more visual effects, and much better fighting choreography. In other words, The Raid 2 is simply much better than The Raid 1.

My Thought on THE RAID 2: BERANDAL (2014):

• On Storyline (75/100): Not like the first one, The Raid 2 has enough storyline to say that it's a great fighting movie that has content, not just an action movie that solely rely its strength on the fighting scenes. The storyline is actually quiet great and has twists.
• On Casts (85/100): This movie is very well acted by the main actors. Yes, there are some parts that could have been better. But, I think this movie already provides me with all I can ask for on the quality of the casts
• On Visual Effects (95/100): Do you know some movies that you couldn't even know how the directors make it? Have you ever gone like "How the heck do they make it look like that?"...... Yes, this is one of those movies. All the ruthless fighting and killing scenes are really awesome.
• On Fighting Scenes (95/100): Anybody who like movies with gory stuffs, ruthless killing, and great martial art fighting NEED TO, HAVE TO, WILL WANT TO see this movie. Period.

Honestly, this is one of the best Indonesian movies I have ever seen. Plus, it sells and gains such positive reviews all over the world. It's a very recommended movie to watch, you wouldn't waste on a buck.
